Welcome to Redstrim (accessible via redstrim.com and our associated client applications, portals, and APIs). Redstrim provides an end-to-end white-label OTT and IPTV streaming solution empowering content distributors, broadcasters, and telecom operators to deliver video-on-demand (VOD), live television, and series across web, mobile, and smart TV platforms.
This Privacy Policy outlines how Redstrim ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, protects, and discloses personal information obtained through our website, multi-screen applications, management backend, and services. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information in two ways: information you directly provide to us, and information gathered automatically when you interact with our platform, website, or connected streaming applications.
- Account & Contact Information: When you request a platform demo, register for an operator account, or subscribe to services, we collect your name, business email address, company name, phone number, and account credentials.
- Technical & Device Information: Details regarding the devices used to access Redstrim services, including device hardware model, operating system (e.g., Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, iOS, Android), unique device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and network connection characteristics.
- Streaming Telemetry & Usage Data: Telemetry concerning playback sessions, bitrate adaptation, buffering frequency, content titles viewed, viewing duration, playback timestamps, and error diagnostics necessary for maintaining Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE).
- Billing & Licensing Details: Billing contacts, subscription tier, and transaction metadata (note: credit card details are tokenized and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways).
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Redstrim processes the collected data for specific operational, contractual, and legitimate business purposes, including:
- Service Delivery: Operating, provisioning, and maintaining white-label streaming infrastructure, encoding pipelines, EPG guides, and multi-screen client applications.
- Quality Optimization: Dynamically tuning adaptive bitrate streaming profiles, mitigating content delivery network (CDN) bottlenecks, and diagnosing client-side playback failures.
- Digital Rights Management (DRM): Validating DRM licenses (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) and enforcing concurrency controls to protect intellectual property.
- Communications & Support: Responding to demo requests, delivering product release notices, and providing technical support via dedicated operator portals.
- Security & Fraud Prevention: Detecting and preventing unauthorized stream re-broadcasting, credential abuse, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) incidents, and security breaches.
3. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING (GDPR & CCPA COMPLIANCE)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal basis for collecting and using personal data depends on the data concerned and context of collection. We rely on: (a) performance of a contract to deliver our streaming solutions; (b) our legitimate interests in operating secure, high-performance video infrastructure; and (c) compliance with statutory legal obligations.
For California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Redstrim does not sell or share personal information with third-party advertisers.
4. DATA SHARING & THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We disclose information strictly to vetted third-party service providers bound by rigorous confidentiality and data protection agreements, including:
- Cloud Infrastructure & Storage: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for reliable, redundant server hosting and transcoding.
- Content Delivery Networks: Enterprise CDN providers (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly) for low-latency media distribution.
- DRM Key Management: Licensed DRM clearinghouses enforcing Widevine, FairPlay, and PlayReady video encryption.
- Compliance & Legal Authorities: Public authorities or law enforcement only when compelled by lawful requests, subpoenas, or applicable regulatory mandates.
5. DATA RETENTION & SECURITY
We retain personal information for the duration of active commercial agreements, as necessary to fulfill the purposes described herein, or to comply with statutory legal, tax, and auditing obligations.
Redstrim implements state-of-the-art administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. All network communications are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3, and all stored data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Access to production clusters is strictly restricted via multi-factor authentication (MFA) and least-privilege role-based access control (RBAC).
6. YOUR DATA RIGHTS & CHOICES
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have specific rights regarding your personal information, including:
- Right of Access: Request confirmation and a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete records.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): Request the deletion of your personal information where retention is no longer warranted.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Because Redstrim operates globally, information collected may be stored and processed in servers situated in the United States, European Union, and other international jurisdictions. We implement European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and robust technical safeguards to ensure adequate cross-border data protection.
